The Frequently Asked Questions below refer to Home Learning being delivered via Purple Mash.
My child is unable to attend school due to needing to isolate. How do I know if they've been set work on Purple Mash?
When you have informed school that your child will be unable to attend school, your child's class teacher will ensure that learning is uploaded to Purple Mash by the end of the next working day. You will receive a text from your child's class teacher informing you that work is now uploaded and ready to be accessed by your child.
What is my child's Purple Mash log-in?
Your child should have had their Purple Mash log-in sent home - this may have been attached or stuck into their reading record. If you are unable to find it, please contact school and we will ensure you are given the log-in details promptly.
My child is putting in their username and password, but it says it is invalid. What do I do?
Please check your are on the Hilderthorpe School log-in page. You will know you're on the correct page if you see the school logo on the left. If you don't, click 'find my school's log in page' and select Hilderthorpe Primary School.
My child has logged in - but where is their work?
Your child will be alerted to new '2-do's' in their purple alert bell. For more detail on how to access this, please watch the video tutorial here.
Wilk my child be accessing the same work as their peers in school?
We have carefully selected tasks and activities to compliment the learning taking place in school. By using Oak Academy to support the teacher's planning, we are able to ensure your child is still accessing relevant learning from the National Curriculum.
Does my child have to do the activities in order on the Powerpoint?
No! It is a very flexible approach and the days and timetable we have provided is guidance only. Please use your own discretion if you wish to do lessons on different days.
My child has completed work which they want to share with the teacher. How can they upload it?
A video tutorial here shows you how to do this.
My child is off school due to illness, but it is not related to COVID-19. Will they be provided with Home Learning?
Home Learning will only be provided to children who are needing to stay off school for a length of time due to isolating as a result of COVID-19. Children who are unable to attend school due to other reasons, e.g. sickness, injury, cold etc, will not be provided with Home Learning.
